The KAPS kick-off meeting in 2009 was a start of a great series of events for me.  Even though I moved to the Bay Area in the beginning of 2008, I had not met anybody outside of my already known circle (awesome circle may it be).  When essentially everybody moved away, I had little choice but to meet new friends.  I somehow ended up finding KAPS, emailed Andrew who was the president at the time, and attended the meeting.  Now a three year veteran of KAPS, and going on fourth, the meeting had a very different feeling- familiarity.  The board members are mostly friends, I am doing more catching up instead of meeting new people, and instead of being introduced, I was introducing.  KAPS has evolved quite a bit in my three years, and I’m looking forward to what 2012 will bring!

01/22/2012: The problem with parking on a steep hill in SF is that you may never find your car... I proceeded to go up the wrong hill, then down the wrong one... up the wrong one again, and down the wrong one again... FAIL.

01/22/2012: When I finally made it to Grace's, I was greeted by amazing cheese and salad, and lots of other foods and beer. Clockwise: Cheese, Gents, Ladies, Salad.

01/21/2012: A short hop to another one of Joe's amazing dinner parties. The ssam above was ginormous in both size and delicious-ness, I almost died trying to eat it in one bite! Special kudos to the meetup crew for making it and feeding me!

Okay, so it wasn’t an actual “sick” day golf since I took a PTO.  Calling in sick would have been more adventurous and daring, but look people, I am somewhat of a responsible old person now!  The rain caught up to us by the last couple of holes, but it wasn’t bad enough to deter us from finishing the wonderful round.  I will take golf in the rain any day over a day in the office!  In fact… I’ll probably take golf in the rain over just about anything in life, except for golf in the sun…

01/19/2012: Cinnabar Hills GC- amazing amazing amazing course!!! And very very far.

01/19/2012: Lunch. The food, both breakfast and lunch, were very delicious. Cool part was ordering the food right off the golf cart!

01/19/2012: Twas a cold and rainy day, but my golf mittens and beer was a big help (mittens- physically, beer- mentally).
