I took one of my last free weekends (though I’ve been saying that for quite some time now) to head up to Tomales Bay for some oyster shucking.  The trip was planned last minute, but everybody pitched in and it turned out great.  We couldn’t have asked for better weather, the tri-tip and 갈비 was tender & delicious, and the oysters, of course, were amazing!

The KAPS kick-off meeting in 2009 was a start of a great series of events for me.  Even though I moved to the Bay Area in the beginning of 2008, I had not met anybody outside of my already known circle (awesome circle may it be).  When essentially everybody moved away, I had little choice but to meet new friends.  I somehow ended up finding KAPS, emailed Andrew who was the president at the time, and attended the meeting.  Now a three year veteran of KAPS, and going on fourth, the meeting had a very different feeling- familiarity.  The board members are mostly friends, I am doing more catching up instead of meeting new people, and instead of being introduced, I was introducing.  KAPS has evolved quite a bit in my three years, and I’m looking forward to what 2012 will bring!

01/21/2012: Happy Birthday to Lezlee!!!

We took a last minute Napa trip with the twins, google co-workers, Peter & Jen!  It was a rough morning for a few, luckily I ducked out a little early being that I had to drive.  I’m getting very good at leaving parties early (early as in midnight….), which wasn’t always something I could do in the past.  We’ll see if this is a trend I can keep in 2012.

01/15/2012: First stop: Hess Winery! I've been wanting to make a visit here for at least a couple years now! Well worth the extra 30 minute drive!

01/15/2012: Hess has an art gallery on the second and third floors, and the building itself is pretty cool in that it is somehow integrated with the winery.

01/15/2012: Last winery stop, my favorite Silverado! It was a little more crowded than usual, and my usual people weren't there... oh wells, still great service. Peter is awake!

01/11/2012: My craving for beer ended up getting a group together for dinner @ Pizzeria Delfina (start of wedinr)! I miss the days of grabbing dinner in this area with Boram, but am glad to have other good friends to continue the tradition! Lower left picture is so funny- typical Adri & Will interaction... + Jen's indifference!
