me. life. world.

We all know (or quickly learn) that there is a ton of things to do in California, or at least a short distance within.  In fact… I’ve left California twice, TWICE in 2011 (NYC in January, Korea in June).  Put it that way, I feel a bit trapped and tied down to the stupid state once run by the Governator.  But that doesn’t mean I haven’t experience my share of adventures this year.  This weekend, for the first time in Cali, I went camping!  I used to go on camping trips annually in Michigan, in what became know as FOB camp.  It was glorious; we were innocent, naive, clueless, and down right stupid- but hey, sometimes those turn out to be the best trips (or the most memorable at least).  The planning of this trip was impeccable, all set up by masters of camping, master chefs, master… err… fire starters, etc.  Due to prior engagements, I drove up a day late with Jen & Adrianna, and in hindsight wish we could have stayed on more day to enjoy a full day at the camp site and all that it had to offer.  Hindsight is 20/20, and also a bunch of crap.  Next time it is!

08/13/2011: Camping in Colfax! It's amazing how warm it gets just a couple hours away from the City.

08/13/2011: "Must... not... take... picture... with... props"... couldn't fight it.

08/13/2011: Did somebody say steak?! Just one meal of the many we had throughout the night.

08/13/2011: Meteor Shower & Int'l Space Station Flyover- weather said perfect star gazing conditions... too bad there were a million stupid trees covering the sky.

08/14/2011: All clean & ready to go home! But not before one last picture.

08/14/2011: Can't skip mini-golf at camping! JK... pretty random, but mucho fun nonetheless.

08/17/2011: Mini-Golf Crew!
